2026 Fall Wines

2024 Peay Vineyards Maritima Estate Chardonnay, West Sonoma Coast

In 2024 we had an unexpected spring frost that nipped the Chardonnay blocks. As a result, we made only half as much Maritima as in years past. Sigh. But, the good news is the style and quality are superb delivering a fresh, energetic profile with silky texture that has become the hallmark of Peay Chardonnay. The nose presents youthful aromas of white flowers, orange peel, flint, and melon. The wine is incredibly energetic with a steely spine draped in a silky robe. The finish is quite long and mouth-watering with lingering brine, cream, and mint notes.$65/btl during release, $70/btl post release.

"A profoundly textural, medium- to full-bodied wine with beautiful aromas of white blossoms and oyster shells. Structured acidity and an incredibly long finish bring in some lemon oil and brininess. Absolutely delicious now but built to age for a long time.”
96 Points, James Suckling, Courtney Humiston, June 2026

2024 Peay Vineyards Ama Estate Pinot Noir, West Sonoma Coast

97pts JS. Bright and elegant, the 2024 Ama Pinot Noir layers raspberry, rhubarb, and red berry fruit with floral, savory notes and a distinctive mineral edge. Fresh, harmonious, and complex, it’s a graceful expression of Ama with impressive concentration and a long, spiced finish.

2024 Peay Vineyards Scallop Shelf Estate Pinot Noir, West Sonoma Coast

Aromas of tart cherry skin and rhubarb are encircled by a floral note and held in place by a deep earth note. On the palate, flavors of forest floor (bark, dried pine needle, decaying earth) further accent the fruit and linger in the after taste. There is refreshing acidity and, though there is plenty of flavor and presence on the palate, there is little weight from fruit extract and alcohol. This is such a desirable quality and may be why Scallop Shelf has become such a popular wine for us. I recommend decanting it in the first few years to let youthful flavors coalesce and you can hold on to bottles for as long as you’d like.
$75/btl during release, $80/btl post release.

“Wonderful aromas of salty minerality, dusty chalk and lavender give way to flavors of raspberries, blood oranges, spices and wild blueberries. Medium-bodied, showing very refined tannins with textural acidity.”
97 Points, James Suckling, Courtney Humiston, June 2026

$80.00 | 750mL

2024 Peay Vineyards Richardson Pinot Noir, West Sonoma Coast

Now, after 12 years of vine age, we feel the Richardson Pinot Noir is singular and worthy of a vineyard designate. The light color and burst of floral aroma tells you this will be a perfumed wine of elegance. Aromas of rose and raspberry mix with the distinct blood orange quality found in wines made from the Pommard selection of Pinot Noir when grown on the West Sonoma Coast. The wine is light and lively with medium weight on the palate. This is not a rich and unctuous Pinot Noir. It trades extract and power for harmony, grace, and elegance. A superb wine and will be versatile at your table.
$65/btl during release, $70/btl post release

“Aromas and flavors of sage, bay leaves, wild strawberries and bruised raspberries alongside thyme flowers and crushed rose petals. A lush midpalate is framed with structured acidity and fine tannins. First vintage bottled as a single-vineyard wine.”

96 Points, James Suckling, Courtney Humiston, June 2026

2023 Peay Vineyards Les Titans Estate Syrah, West Sonoma Coast

The 2023 vintage allowed for a long hang time and aromas slowly built over the fall months. The Les Titans cuvée is definitely the meatier of our three syrahs and in this vintage the wine just has more of everything found in the 2023 Estate Syrah. There is more volume on the nose: The floral element floats out of the glass and into my nose located 4 feet away. On the palate there is greater depth of flavor with more black fruit and hints of iron.
$64/btl during release, $69/btl post release

“A deep wine, showing blackberries and plums on the palate with savory undertones of kalamata olives. Rich and flavorful with resinous character in the finish.”

96 Points James Suckling, Courtney Humiston, June 2026

2023 Peay Vineyards West Sonoma Coast Syrah, West Sonoma Coast

This is our second vintage of the Estate Syrah coming from our 25 year old vines. There is a little pink peppercorn framing the floral notes and a core of deeper fresh blood and red fruit. On the first sip, my mind immediately jumps to a vision of a juicy NY strip steak. Flavors of blackberry linger on the long finish. In many ways, the wine has the weight, structure and freshness of a high quality Sangiovese. It is not heavy, meaty, or juicy and will pair with everything from salmon to pork to red meats.
$42/btl during release, $45/btl post release

“A wonderful example of cool-climate syrah, showing lovely aromas of thyme blossoms, lavender, sage and white pepper. Medium-bodied with balanced acidity.”

95 Points James Suckling, Courtney Humiston, June 2026

2024 Peay Vineyards Pomarium Estate Pinot Noir, West Sonoma Coast

More nuanced floral and tea aromas have elevated the complexity of the wine and softened the muscular notes. Plum skin, jasmine tea, and even a light sandalwood hippie aroma. With 26 years of vine age, there is just more flavor, depth, and persistence with less bombast.

“A structured, flavorful wine with black and red berry skins and deep umami undertones of kombu and bergamot tea. A very long finish. Quite profound. Medium-bodied.”

97 Points, James Suckling, Courtney Humiston, June 2026

2024 Peay Vineyards Savoy Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley

Tart red fruits lean into darker cherry flavors and are framed by a lead mineral quality. The “Mendocino spice” aroma critics often note is evident with brown spices originating from the skin of the fruit not from barrel as the oak expression is invisible. This is as sophisticated an expression, while staying true to form, that Savoy gets.

“Silky, delicious, juicy and opulent, showing flavors of plush, bright red cherries, pomegranate and cool blue fruit, with very fine tannins and bright acidity. Medium-bodied.”
95 Points, James Suckling, Courtney Humiston, June 2026

$80.00 | 750mL

2023 Peay Vineyards La Bruma Estate Syrah, West Sonoma Coast

White and green pepper aromas accent this incredible La Bruma Syrah. Immediately upon smelling the wine, I recollected a juniper berry and pepper venison dish I had on a ski trip in the Rockies. Aromas of violets and crushed dried lavender cradle the berry fruit and iron flavors, with soft tannins.

“An elegant, floral and savory wine, showing flavors of crushed blackberries, lupines, sage and lavender. Medium- to full-bodied with cascading acidity.”

96 Points James Suckling, Courtney Humiston, June 2026

2024 Peay Vineyards West Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

Flat out gorgeous. The depth of flavor and texture of the 2022 with the lift, grace, and balance of the 2023. Top notes of Earl Grey tea with raspberry fruit emerging over time. Aromas of boysenberry and brass come to the fore in the mid palate with a dried leaf and forest floor note serving as the base drum.

"Beautiful and aromatic with notes of fresh and dried rose petals, red and black raspberries and bay leaves. A serious wine, offering good concentration, sanguine minerality and a long, structured finish with lingering notes of blood oranges.”

96 Points, James Suckling, Courtney Humiston, June 2026

MAGNUMS

2023 Peay Vineyards Ama Estate Pinot Noir, West Sonoma Coast MAGNUM

The aroma bursts with tell-tale Ama cherry and apple skin notes with hints of pomegranate sneaking in. A touch of dried pine needle/forest floor and lead pencil frame the bright, playful fruit aromas. The wine has mouth-watering acidity and for Pinot Noir is decidedly perfumed and light on its feet. With a half-hour decant the mid-palate fills out and gains some heft. This wine is gorgeous right now.

$165.00 | 1.5L

2023 Peay Vineyards Scallop Shelf Estate Pinot Noir, West Sonoma Coast MAGNUM

Best Scallop Shelf to date. Bam! Need I say more? Okay, I will. The aroma is deep with sour dark cherry notes framed by floral and spice elements. Less of the typical blood orange and orange rind quality common with this cuveé and more robust fruit flavors leaning into red fruits. As the wine sits on the tongue, aromas of jasmine tea and forest floor lay a foundation under the fruit.
